Reflexology is a therapeutic method based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands, and organs of the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology therapy can:
Relieve tension.
Improve circulation
Support the body’s effort to function optimally - and therefore reinforce the Immune System.
Several studies indicate that reflexology may reduce pain and psychological symptoms, such as stress and anxiety, and enhance relaxation and sleep. Given that reflexology is also low risk, it can be a reasonable option if you're seeking relaxation and stress relief.
The Reflexology treatment usually focuses on the feet, but it can also include the hands and ears.
Foot reflexology can boost the immune system, increase circulation, cleanse toxins from the body and balance energy. By applying pressure to points in the foot, called reflex areas, a reflexologist removes energy blockages and promotes health in the corresponding body area.
There is also a strong belief that Foot reflexology may enhance the libido in both sexes. (Chinese Traditional Medicine uses foot acupuncture to cure impotency).
SIDE EFFECTS:
There is only one side effect: If you do it once, you like it and you want to do it again!

History of Reflexology.
Reflexology is thought to have been passed down through an oral tradition, and possibly first recorded as a pictograph on the Egyptian tomb of “Ankh – Amor” in 2330 BC along with other medical procedures.
Reflexology symbols are thought to be recorded on the feet of statues of Buddha in India and later China.
